EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS

The Executive Members of SF are committed to conducting the affairs of the Foundation in a professional, open and transparent manner.  They subscribe to high ethical standards of honesty, integrity, respect, fairness, trust, responsibility, accountability, commitment and caring.

• Mr. Keshab C Pradhan – Chairman
Former Chief Secretary to the Government of Sikkim. Over his thirty years service with the Government he has worked in several departments, many in the capacity of a Secretary. He holds Master of Forestry Degree from Yale University USA. Currently he is the President of Sikkim Nature Conservation Foundation, Vice President of the Orchid Society of India, President of J D Hooker Chapter, American Rhododendron Society.

• Mr. S. Wangdi – Vice Chairman
He is the proprietor of Sikkim World Expedition; a travel agent based in Gangtok Sikkim, and is actively involved in promoting Eco tourism. He is also a trustee of Human Development Foundation of Sikkim, a charity trust.

• Mr. Karma Takapa – Executive Director
Received his B.Com. Degree from Delhi University. He is also a founder member of “Green Circle” an environmental group in Sikkim. As the proprietor of Yuksom Tours & Treks he has been an executive member of the Travel Agents Association of Sikkim and is actively involved in promoting responsible tourism in Sikkim.

• Mr. Loday Chungyalpa
He received his MBA Degree from USC, California, USA in 1978. He has over seventeen years senior management experience with leading companies in Australia. He also served as Planning Officer with the Government of Sikkim from 1980-81.

• Mr. Namgyal P Sherpa- Treasurer
Has been involved with tourism, especially with mountain adventure tourism since 1971. He is the proprietor of Namgyal Treks and Tours based in Gangtok, Sikkim. He is actively involved in promoting responsible tourism in Sikkim.

• Mrs. Devika Chhetri
Received her M.Sc. Degree in Urban Environmental Management and Development Planning from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok. She also received her Diploma in Urban Planning, jointly from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok and the Asia Pacific Center, Fukuoka, Japan. She is currently working for the Government of Sikkim in the Building and Housing Department.

• Mr. Ganden Lachungpa
Received his MA Degree from Bombay University. He is the proprietor of Atlas Manufacturing Company Pvt. Ltd., a company engaged in the manufacture of camping and trekking related equipment and accessories. He is a member of The Association of Small Scale Industries and Travel Agents Association.

• Mr. Bhaskar R Pradhan
Received his BA(Hons) and LL.B. Degrees from Bombay University. He has over seven years experience practicing in the Supreme Court of India. Currently based in Gangtok, Sikkim where he practices his legal profession as Advocate in the High Court.

• Mrs. Wendy Pulger
Received her MA Degree in International Development Education from Stanford University, California, USA. She has over twenty years experience in education, business management and marketing. She also served as Assistant Director with the Education Department, Government of Sikkim from 1980-81.

• Mr. Kailash Pradhan
He received his B.Arch. Degree from (CEPT) Ahmedabad. He has over five years experience working with reputable national and international architect firms. He currently runs his own practice. He is also a Founder Member of Green Circle an environmental group in Sikkim.

• Dr. Jyoti P Tamang
He received his Ph.D. (Microbiology) from University of North Bengal. He did his Post Doctorate from the National Food Research Institute, Tsukuba, Japan. He is currently working as Senior Lecturer in Botany with the Government of Sikkim College. He has numerous publications to his name.
